As part of the relocation of a production area to a new site, GREAN was commissioned to develop a concept for the subsequent use of the space that became available for the plastics production remaining at the site. In addition to the reorganisation and structural redevelopment of the existing areas, the project focused on the development of a concept for the automation of internal logistics.

In addition to an automatic small parts warehouse, a concept for the installation of a driverless transport system was also developed. GREAN supported the client in the generation of ideas and concept development and accompanied the implementation of the first construction activities. Additionally GREAN was responsible for the project management of this brown-field-planning.

The systematic questioning of the ACTUAL state, the critical questioning of the status quo as well as the development of tailor-made, customer-specific solutions, this is what I particularly appreciate about GREAN.

In detail, the following service contents were processed:

  • Recording and evaluation of the stock situation

  • Review and adaptation of the master plan

  • Analysis of logistical warehouse and movement data

  • Derivation of inventory and process potentials

  • Definition of the future IT and production processes

  • Design of a detailed layout for the entire site (injection moulding, assembly, logistics) under consideration of optimised processes

  • Creation of an internal logistics concept

  • Development of a standardised storage and container concept

  • Creation of a specification sheet for an automatic small parts warehouse (AKL)

  • Support in the selection of warehouse and automation technology (FTS)

  • Preparation of tender documents and monitoring of supplier meetings

  • Support in the creation of relocation scenarios

  • Planning and support of the relocation

  • Project management (stakeholder management, time and cost planning, conducting workshops etc.)
