Planning object
New construction planning on approx. 12,000 m² with parallel development of a comparative concept on a green-field site
TROESTER stands worldwide for progress, quality and advanced technology in rubber and plastics processing. As production at the Hanover site is partly carried out in very old halls, the site was to be consolidated. Special attention was paid to optimizing the flow of goods and warehouse processes. A concept was to be developed for implementing an expansion of the production area in the existing building. In addition to the development of the concept, the economic evaluation of the advantages of the investment in the new production hall was at the centre of the consideration.
In a first step, GREAN and TROESTER discussed the basic logistical goals of the factory and translated them into design features. On this basis the existing, very complex, production and assembly steps were analysed and subjected to a logistical evaluation. In this way, suggestions for improvement could be derived in a targeted manner as to how the production layout of the new factory could be designed. GREAN then developed a new logistics and factory concept. Finally, an evaluation of the investment in the new hall was carried out, taking into account both the investment costs and the costs from ongoing operations, thus enabling a comparison with the existing situation.
In detail, the following services were provided:
-
Conception of the new hall together with the architect office Dietzsch
-
Logistical evaluation of the existing situation
-
Derivation of improvement possibilities to increase the logistic performance in the new hall
-
Economic evaluation of the advantages of the investment in the new hall
