In highly competitive markets, a cost advantage can be crucial to the overall success of the company. The customer therefore planned to optimize its energy-intensive production and to leverage energy efficiency potentials. Furthermore, a system was to be developed that would ensure long-term efficiency potential – therefore an energy management system according to ISO 50001 was introduced. GREAN accompanied, coordinated and implemented the entire process.
First of all, GREAN had to establish a basic transparency of energy consumption. For this purpose, the most important energy consumers were balanced. Furthermore, practical suggestions were made as to which methods could be used to reduce energy consumption. On this basis, GREAN designed a management system that complies with ISO 50001. This system was introduced in the organisation, explained to the employees in training courses and brought to certification.
